Pumping on wells : 47.4 € of investment per inhabitant (balance 2001, june)
Investments for 26 villages (24 windpumps, 2 PV pumps) are following :

The cost of the windpumps :
Nevertheless, many installations realized in the Kébémer and Tivaouane departments concern villages where the well has been built or renovated thanks to the American association World Vision, which is very active in that area.

The pumping and water treatment station’s cost : 50 € / inhabitant
The pumping and water treatment stations, of high capacity and more complex technically, have an investment’s cost superior :
The innovant caracter of these installations and the size of the 2 villages explained the large difference between planned and real costs.
But there is not a real difference of the cost of investment per inhabitant between the two types of installation (on well or on river water).
