The project : 33 windpumps and 3 solar pumps
From 1998 to 2001, 32 villages located in the Northwestern part of Senegal (departments of Dagana, Louga, Kebemer and Tivaouane) will be equiped with pumping systems :

7 conditions to obtain a wind pump
To benefit from a wind pump’s installation, the village must meet the following conditions :
The water must be intended to the whole community
To satisfy the technical criteria :

To participate in the investment in giving 400 000 FCFA (or 4000 FRF or about 610 Euros)
To subscribe an annual maintenance contract by an approved firm, notably EIC (100 000 FCFA per year)
To save up 125 000 FCFA each year on a bank account or on a giro account for the equipment's renewal.
To form a committee for the waterhole's administration
